Prayer ministry.

Here at Ignite, we firmly believe that prayer is vital to every piece of the Christian life. We look to Scripture and believe that the command to "pray without ceasing" (1 Thes. 5:17) is for us as a church and as individuals. In order to grow closer to Jesus Christ and to follow His example as the Great Intercessor (John 17), we come together through Torchlight to learn, practice, and engage in vibrant lives of prayer.

No matter your experience or comfort-level with prayer, you are welcome at all Torchlight events and opportunities! Prayer is off-limits to no-one, and God provides abundantly as we come to Him to learn.

See below for opportunities to take part in our monthly prayer night or to serve by praying during our church services, or visit our Connect Center in the lobby to learn more.

Why the name torchlight?

When God's people pray, the Lord doesn't only shed light on our own personal walks with Him, but He equips us to prayerfully lead the way for others as we follow the Lord together. By prayer, Jesus directs and guides His people. The torch of prayer is a joy to carry, and the light that emanates from a life of prayer illuminates the way forward.

Sunday Intercessors

As we gather on Sunday mornings, there is a powerful opportunity to intercede on behalf of our congregation, the services, and the various ministries that are happening.  In fact, we believe that such intercession isn't only a good thing, but is integrally necessary! Prayer prompts will be provided, and the Prayer Room will be open to you for your use during your time of intercession. Are you interested in covering our church with prayer while we gather? Please email Emma at emma@ignitewesleyan.org or choose a time slot at the Connect Center!

Monthly Prayer Nights

Coming together to pray as a congregation is a privilege that we treasure. Join us on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 6:30PM in the Worship Center for our Monthly Prayer Nights. During these evenings of prayer, you will not be expected to pray aloud in front of anyone. You will simply be joining your church family in privately praying over the same Scripture and focus. Come and meet with the Lord through prayer. He loves when we come before Him together!
