Day 11

Welcome to Day 11 of the 21-Day Prayer Challenge.

We invite you to join us for 21 days of intentional prayer. Check here every day for prayer prompts for this challenge. We are excited to see what God does through prayer.

Prayer Prompt:
Pray for those who serve at Ignite.

Prayer:
Righteous Father, We are so grateful for the men and women You have called to selflessly volunteer at Ignite. Preserve and strengthen them as they commit to serving others in the name of Your Son. Guide them as they graciously give of their time and energy. Help them to see the needs of those around them with a willing and patient heart and give a listening ear, a helping hand, a kind word, or a compassionate act. Lord, You have shown us through Your life and teachings that true greatness comes from counting others above ourselves and giving ourselves to the service of others. Help us to model our lives after that example and put the needs of others above ourselves. Remind us that every act of service, no matter how small, has the potential to make a big difference in someone else’s life. It isn’t always easy because it requires sacrifice and humility. Still, when we serve, we become more like You and experience the joy and fulfillment that comes from living a life of purpose and participation in the kingdom-building work You are doing on earth. We pray You will continue to call men and women to serve at Ignite, offering to You their gifts and talents. Give each of us the heart of a servant.
In Jesus’ Name, we pray, Amen.

Prayer Tip:
A simple prayer model is the ACTS prayer. This can be a beneficial way to focus our hearts on Who God is and what He has done before going to Him and asking Him to continue working in our lives. ACTS is an Acronym for: Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication

Scripture:
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as if you are working for the Lord, not for human masters,  since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV)
